Early news.  BUS attended the International Uveitis Study Group in Greece last week (October 2012).  While there, we had discussions with our lead consultants and with consultants from the US about the next Birdshot Day.

Many of you will know Stephen Foster from Boston, US who is such an expert on Birdshot.  He is planning a Birdshot Day for September 2013, and we agreed that we would try and hold a joint Birdshot Day with him.

The planned date is 7 September 2013 (we will need to finally confirm this) and it will be an international event, held in Boston, US.  We are hoping that we can alternate the venues between the UK and US so the following Birdshot Day will be back in the UK in 2014 or 2015.

The focus of the 2013 Birdshot Day will be information about people with Birdshot and current new treatments.  We are hoping to have speakers from around the world, as well as attendees from around the world.

We will send out more news as we finalise plans, but in the meantime, if you are able to make it to Boston, US, keep the date in your diary free.  7 September 2013 is Birdshot Day!
