Give as you Earn

Payroll giving is a great way to support a charity, especially as  employers will sometimes also make a contribution to your chosen cause.   Administratively it is very cost effective for the charity and it is simple to do.The great thing is that your chosen charity effectively gets more than you give it because your donation is paid before your salary is taxed. For example that will mean that if you give,  £10 to BUS, and you are on the lowest tax band, only £8 will be deducted from your take-home pay. If you are a higher rate taxpayer, the incentives are even greater.

Some companies will also add their own portion to the pot,  So an £8 donation from you could end up substantially larger. Other companies may offer other incentives.

If you work for an employer who operates a pay-roll giving scheme, it normally just involves filling in a short form.

The BUS member who works for a bank and supports us in this way told us:

“Give As You Earn is a great way for me to support BUS  as my employer contributes also. BUS wasn’t one of their registered charities but I asked them to set you up.”

Thank you so much for your initiative and for your fantastic support.

If you feel like supporting Birdshot Uveitis Society and your company offers pay roll giving we would be delighted to receive support in this way!
