Vitrectomy

BUS has had an enquiry from a member who is in the UK who would like to email or talk  to someone who has had a vitrectomy.  This a procedure where the jelly of the eye is removed and replaced with oil, saline solution or gas.    It can be done  for a variety of reasons eg retinal detachment or so that holes or wrinkles in the retina can be repaired or smoothed out.  Occasionally it  can also be done to reduce the number of floaters if they are particularly troublesome.

If you have had this procedure done and are happy to talk about it, please can you contact Annie via the contact form or by email info @  birdshot . org . uk

Many thanks

Annie
